Cody July, 2011

As usual we had a great time at the Winchester Arms Collector's show in Cody, WY. We took our one table Winchester Hotchkiss display pictured here. It was one of the largest WACA shows held there. Those of you who have not attended this show, or been to Cody for a visit, will not be sorry you did. If you are a Winchester fan join us for a great learning experience.

CGCA Show in Denver 5-13,14,15-2011

The Colorado Gun Collectors did a bang up job with this show. There were 60 displays in competition, most of them well done. Our Winchester Lee Straight Pull display highlighting the Maine gun was well received. We did win a Judges Choice Award which makes us proud. If you have not been to one of these 'once a year" shows plan to attend. You won't be disappointed. We will be there next year.

Ohio Gun Collectors show May 7 & 8, 2011

As usual it was a great show with 29 wonderful displays. Our display took a Judges Award and we received a Silver Medalion for our Maine gun. There was a large appreciative crowd for a closed show. The banquet at the Air Force Museum was well attended and well done. This was the last year for this venue. The Good Lord willing we will be attending next year.

Kansas City Jan. 2011

We did well in KC, weather not withstanding. It was cold. There were 32 displays so lots of competition . We were very pleased and flattered to win second place. The judges made suggestions on how to make the display better, which was much appreciated. Our plans for the rest of the year, are to display at OGCA & Denver in May, WACA in Cody, WY in July, and Dallas in August. See you there.

MN WEAPONS COLLECTORS OCT. 30&31, 2010

We took our revised Lee Straight Pull display to this show. As you can see ,we put more emphasis on the USS Maine gun. We felt that the display looked really good. We met with friends there and had a good time visiting. We won Second Place in the Antique Long Gun category, and Best Educational display.

ST. LOUIS ANTIQUE ARMS SEPT. 17-19

St. Louis is just across the river from us, so it was an easy trip. We won Best of Show with our Lee Straight Pull display which featured one of the rifles recovered from the USS Maine in 1898. It is a pleasure to display at this show as the members of this club are very knowledgeble as concerns firearms and history.

DALLAS AUG. 21,22, 2010

I took our Winchester Lever Action in the Service display to Dallas. I went with Larry Wales who took his awesome Newton rifle display. There were about 15 displays. Larry won Second Place, and I did not win a thing. But it was a good trip, and I would do it again.
