WINCHESTER ARMS COLLECTORS SHOW CODY, WY JUNE 18-20, 2010

As usual we had a wonderful time in Cody visiting with our friends, and displaying. Our Lee Straight Pull display won "Best of Show" so we brought home a traveling trophy which we will return to next year's WACA Cody show. Anyone who has not visited Cody, and the Musem, has missed something special. Go if you can.

Ohio Gun Collectors show May 22&23, 2010

We took both our Hotchkiss display and our Winchester Lee Straight Pull display to this show. Many, many nice comments on both displays. The Judges gave us a 'Judges Choice' award for the Hotchkiss display in the Antique Category. Since the Hotchkiss display is our favorite one to do, we were especially pleased with the award. As usual the banquet at the Air Force Museum in Dayton was outstanding. The OGCA does a wonderful job with this program.

Colorado Gun Collectors Show May 2010

We took our new Winchester Lee Straight Pull Military display to Denver in May 2010. We had lots of compliments from many visitors. We won one of the ten Judges Choice awards. Not bad considering there were 61 displays in competition. Most winning displays now have multiple tables and many guns. We feel fortunate to have won an award with our one table with three guns. Our friends Nancy and Larry Wales won first place with their Newton Rifle display. An awsome effort.

We will be going back next year if for no other reason but to visit with friends, and attend a great gun/display show.

Kansas City Jan. 2010

We had two displays at Kansas City, but did not win with either. It seems bigger is better, and we are headed the other way. Anyhow, as usual, it was a great time with many friends.

Our next shows to display are Denver and Ohio in May, and Cody in June. Look us up if you are there.

WINCHESTER HOTCHKISS RESEARCH HELP NEEDED

I have a Hotchkiss Rifle serial number 18072 which was shipped from the Winchester Factory July of 1882 with nine other (I assume) rifles with bayonets. I believe these guns to be sample model rifles sent to Springfield Armory for consideration. The other serial numbers are; 17643, 17647, 17648, 17649, 17652, 17659, 17666, 17851, & 18059. If you have one of these rifles please contact me, as I would like to compare yours to mine. Thanks in advance for your help.
Jim

MN Weapons Collectors 10/31-11/1/2009

Our Winchester Lever Actions in the Service display was put into the "Modern Long Guns "category where we won Third Place. Our Hotchkiss display won First Place in the category of "Antique Long Guns". It was a great time with old friends.
